- You are still at your best in the mornings. You sometimes cry yourself awake until I pick you up and you come out of your sleep coma. Then you give us the biggest smile ever and it's party time!
- You only poop every four days. I feel like we are saving money in wipes. Plus, it's nice to be regular.
- You can definitely cry! It's not every day, but when you are not happy, we are never in doubt!
- You have just figured out how to touch things. You like to pull at my shirt when you are eating, and sometimes you will grasp toys. Last Wednesday was the first time you actually held onto something. It was a stuffed Waldo and you held it in your hand for about 5 minutes.
- You still prefer sleeping with us, but on days when you are calm, you can easily fall asleep in your crib. On those nights, I stay awake watching you on the video monitor. I've actually considered sleeping on the floor in your room. Separation anxiety??? Maybe...
- I love breastfeeding you. It is such a gift to be able to take care of you in this way. And you seem to enjoy it as well because up until recently you wouldn't take a bottle.
- Daddy is still the "go to" guy when you are fussy and I can't please you. He has a way with you. Maybe it's a boy thing.
- Whenever you wear socks, you always knock one off. It's usually the right foot. I find them all over the house. I never catch you in the act.
- The best part about this past month has been seeing how proud you get when you "stand up." Mommy or Daddy hold you up under your arms and you put weight on your feet and you "stand up" and get this excited, proud look on your face. You shake your arms because you are so excited. It's such a small thing but so exciting at the same time.

To My 3 Month Old ~
Tomorrow you will be 3 months old, Gabriel. How quickly time flies. As I sit here tonight, I'm trying not to linger on the feelings of sadness in regards to my returning to work and missing so many hours with you, but instead concentrate on what cherished memories you have already given me. Your birth was the most wonderful, spectacular event of my life and I feel as if those memories are my gift...something I can always think of in times of sadness. It is such a cliche, but every day is a new adventure! For sure, some days are easier than others, but being your mommy has taught me not only so much about you but also, so much about myself. I love you more than words. Here are some things I have learned about you this past month.
