Saturday morning was such a treat because my son took a 3 hour nap and I was able to speed clean the house. Once the chores were done, we met Grandma, Auntie Melissa, Benjamin, and Grandma's out of town guest Brenda at Dimitris's for a delicious greek lunch.
This was the second weekend Gabriel and I caught the sunrise on Sunday morning. We were also lucky enough to attend the sunrise Beachside Church service at Granada. There is nothing like praising God in such a beautiful environment. The sun was rising over the ocean, surfers were catching waves, and there was a refreshing off shore breeze. We were blessed.
After chruch Kirk, Gabriel and I headed back down to Port Orange to cut Grandma's lawn. As thanks, she prepared a tasty lunch spread of grilled corn guacamole, tuna salad, fresh fruit, and roasted veggies. It was all so wonderfully fresh!
And Sunday evening Edmund and Melissa were kind enough to play hosts and have us over for dinner. Let me just say Edmund made a killer shrimp bisque. Unfortunately I was not able to get any photos of it because I was too busy stuffing my face, but before dinner I was able to capture some images of their garden and Edmund's new board shaping shop. Let's hope he learns quickly because this Momma would love a shorter board.
And as I come to the end of this blog post, I realize that there are definietly not enough pictures of my adorable son. So here we go to finish it off. Happy Monday!
Its amazing how much he looks like Benjamin. Does Melissa have a blog too?
