Believe it or not, I've actually gotten a lot of reading done lately. Granted, my magazine stack is still eyeing me down for some attention, but I've been busy reading The Help by Katheryn Stockett, as the rest of the country is doing. While portions of the story literally made my heart ache, I found the book an inspiring read. And typically I don't enjoy to much comedy, but the (spoiler alert) Shit Pie still makes me laugh.
Now I've started Ken Follett's Fall of Giants. As my good friend Don says, when Ken Follett writes a book, he really has a lot to say. I loved The Pillars of the Earth and Wold Without End, so I am hoping the story satisfies as well.
And lastly, about a month ago I read In Memory of Running by Ron McLarty. The main character in this story captured my heart and I enjoyed reading about his failures that eventually lead to his success. This is a must read, truly an unforgettable novel.
Dang, looking at the list makes me wonder, who's watching the baby?
