Remembering Mister Ron

Sadly, New Year's Day started off with a very early phone call from my mother informing me of my Uncle Ron's passing in the very few first hours of the day.  Ron was not only my Uncle, but truly a great friend.  I could count on him to read all of my blog posts and comment on every picture I posted on Facebook.  He introduced me to the opera and sent me daily humorous emails reminding me life is short and aging sucks.  He was Bunkle Ronnie to Andrew and a loving and supporting brother to my mom and my aunt.  I am going to miss him and it makes me cry realizing that I will no longer see an email in my inbox from Mister Ron.  So today, Kirk and I took Gabriel to one of Ron's favorite spots in the world.  He loved going to the beach.  I said goodbye and shed some tears.  I will truly miss you Ron.  May you rest in peace.
