Yesterday, Netflix arrived and last night Kirk and I watched The Last Exorcism. I was definitely freaked out, but this doesn't mean much because I get scared at everything. Anyone remember "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" on Nickelodeon? Yeah, that still scares me. But I though it was a good movie nonetheless. There's something about the combination of hillbillies and extreme religious groups that adds an extra element of creepiness. And it deserves extra stars because surprisingly, Kirk made it all the way through without snoring. Way to go, babe.

Last spring, I bought myself a fancy new Nikon in the hopes of expanding my photography skills beyond point and shoot. Well, I don't think my skills have increased that much, but it does give me pleasure trying, so the husband sprung for a new Epson Inkjet Printer so I can quickly print my favorite photo's from home. If anyone has any good recommendations on a photography website or book that is user friendly, I would be much obliged. And thank God there is a baby on the way because the dogs are really tired of being the subject matter.
And finally, I was all set to attend Verdi's Don Carlo thanks to The Met: Live in HD series (thank you Bunkle Ronnie). However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that one of my greatest friend's in the world, who left me broken hearted two years ago for new beginnings in North Carolina, was on her way down to sunny Florida to visit. It seems I will have to wait until January 17th for the encore performance of Don Pasquale to satisfy my opera craving. In the mean time, I can't wait to see you Charissa (and I bet Memphis the dog can't wait to see Melissa)!
Ok, I will go get the book from the library, I am intrigued. And by the way, you have mad skills in the photography department- I see you as the photo guru of our family!
