We Are Home.

We moved!  And before we get into the pictures let me give a little background.  The last home we bought had been completely remodeling.  I though it was great because it was move-in ready.  But a lot of the finishes and colors were not what I would have picked out.  But you don't want to spend money on changing something that's brand new, right?  So you live with it and wish it was something else.  So when we found out that the city was buying our old home, we really thought about what we wanted to buy.  We must have viewed 30 plus homes before we found this gem.  Now, obviously I know it needs some updating, but the bones of this home are good.  New a/c, roof, solar heating, new water heater, pool was just resurfaced, and the pool pump is brand new.  Not to mention it's in one of our favorite neighborhoods and it's over 2000 sq feet.  Our old home was about 1200 and we quickly ran out of room once Gabriel came into the picture.  So we thought this home would be perfect...granted not right now but it's a place that we can grow into.  Over time we plan on remodeling the kitchen, painting the walls (I'm currently working on that in the master), updating the bathrooms, landscaping the yard...the list goes on.  But without further ado, here it is!

And the neighborhood...

And my baby because I haven't taken very many photos of him lately...

Living room and dining room combo...

Ignore that man sleeping on the couch...husband got home from work around 2am last night...didn't want to wake us so he slept in here...

Lovely wallpaper mural in the dining room.  Thinking about keeping that.  =)  Or not.

 Foyer

Door bell.  This thing is awesome.  It's one of those "ding dong ding dongggg, dong ding ding ding."

Now here's the kitchen.  Ain't she a beauty!  I especially love the avocado appliances that match the humongous avocado hood.  But seriously, once we update this room, it will be awesome because its so BIG.

 Family room by the kitchen.

 Patio at sunrise this morning.

Our pool.

Here you can see the other corner lot by us is vacant.  The guy that owns it lives right next door and said he's had many offers to sell but he won't because he loves having the space.  This makes us very happy.

Here's the master.  It has a slider out the the patio which I especially love.  As you can see it's being painted.
I hope to have it finished by the end of this weekend.  And yes, that's lettuce green shag.

Master bath.

70's hardware...

Wallpaper...oh my.

Oops, forgot this one of the dining room.

And finally, here's the sunset from the driveway last night.

So we're home!  I love it and can't wait to start updating.  Wish us luck!
