October

The month of October was a nice and slow month.  As a family, we spent a lot of time at home, being lazy.  Kirk took a week and a half off to just work on the renovations.  I watched.  And I've been reading a lot.  The weather has cooled and football is on.  Its a cozy time of year.

And Halloween was a blast!  Gabriel really enjoyed trick or treating.  Towards the end, the boys got a little tired, but we just pulled them along in the wagon for drive through trick or treating.  It was a night I will always remember.

Easter Weekend

Easter 2012 has been postponed until next weekend.  Unfortunately, we had to travel up to Philadelphia Easter weekend.  Kirk's mother is very ill and it was high time we took the baby up to meet his Grandma.  And it was so worth all of the traveling!  Grandma Martin was thrilled to meet her Grandson.  And all of Kirk's 5 brothers and one sister were there.  It was a wonderful to spend time with The Martin Clan.  I love them.  Here are some photos (luckily Aunt Peggy had her ipad because I left my camera's battery at home).

But we still had to spoil Gabriel a little so before we left for our trip, The Easter Bunny made a special early visit to our house and brought Gabriel the Anchor's Away Water Table.  This is the best thing ever.  Outside toys are especially nice now that the weather is warming up.

Weekend in March

Wow.  We had stunning weather this weekend.  And we took full advantage of it.

Kirk has been working a lot so I was especially thrilled when I heard he would be joining us for dinner.  So Friday night, we grilled hamburgers.  Gabriel played outside while they cooked.

Saturday we met the cousins at Lowe's for their workshop for kids.  Gabriel made a chalk board.  It was awesome.

Afterwards we went to The North Turn for lunch.

Then it was nap time.  It rained while we slept.  So nice.  Then we got up and played in the puddles.

Sunday morning was lazy.  We rolled around in the covers a lot.

Then we headed to the beach to enjoy the sun.
